REMOTE POWER BRAKE VACUUM PUMP

Hella UP28, or UP30 or UP32.
Switched by the brakelight switch with the use of an fused relay.
I am using the UP28 which sucks 25inhg vacuum on the gauge.

I use the UP28 on several of my toys.

I've been wondering about this for my Turbo Esprit. How do you control the unit, does it have a built-in regulator? Do you use a vacuum reservoir? That's an interesting dual-booster brake setup BTW...

Is the pump switched on and off when the brake is being operated, or does the brake switch it on and then the pump runs until max vac is reached?

did you try it as a booster for the manifold vacuum or is the pump the sole source of vacuum?

does the system hold vacuum or is the vacuum zero when the pump starts.

looks a neat setup, just thinking that the benefit is only when applying the brakes for a long time, when the vac level will increase over the braking period, the benefit would be minimal if the brakes were applied in a short sharp stamp on the pedal.
thanks
