The television coverage of the 25HR Thunderhill race is airing tonight on NBC sports network...called surviving the 25.

The SLC of Davidson racing is one of the feature cars.

Follow the highs and lows of the race for many teams...

Fran I just checked my digital guide. The only thing on tonight is soccer and F1.

I looked for it on NBC sports but did not see anything with that specific title. I did see "Motorsports Hour" in the early am but did not record them.

Too bad. This particular show is no longer listed with NBC Sports in any way. ( which means it will probably NOT re-air anytime soon.)

Good story.
Was wondering why they used their own LCA. Here is a pic of it.

Was that lower control arm used on the SLC? They did have another car entered.

That was the LCA that broke on the SL-"Eagle". The video shows clearly that is the car it came from. Doesn't look like anything Fran puts out, that's for sure.

Correct...

The crew chief wanted to run the car lower and the way they chose to do so was with a lower control arm of their own design and manufacture.

Unfortunately one broke and another was damaged during an "incident" with another car....the car was obviously working pretty darn well as it was bloody fast and running very strongly even with their issues.

We spend a ton of time doing math modelling and FEA one all of our parts which with a known material such as 6061 is very accurate.

We also add an additional level of redunacy into our designs to make the small consumable parts the mechanical fuse , should they need it.
