Screwless side windows

I finally found some tinted plastic that is light enough to see thru and have installed them without screws or hinged vent windows. I used 3M VHB doublesided tape and Sika 295 urethane adhesive at the corners. They seem to be holding things in place very well. The only relief for cabin pressure or fresh air intake is with the helicopter vents. I like the look as it is much cleaner without the screws. It is not "original" but neither is the car.

Nice modification! -

Gives and even cleaner looking finish to my eyes (if that's possible).

Also - whats with all the screen stickers? - they look a bit like 'Cobra Scalps'...:D

Paul the stickers are put on when you run at Willow Springs with the Cobra Owners Assoc. Those represent my runs since 1999. The car has about 10 additional runs there but I limit the stickers to 2 rows. Kind of my personal badges of honor. Next weekend is another weekend with them. That will be the acid test for how well the windows are bonded in place.

Bud,

Did you form them yourself? If so, how? How easy was it? Living in Phoenix, I've been thinking about doing the same thing (tinted side windows).

Thanks in advance,
