FIA GT race 1400hrs on Sunday. Any takers ??

 

Hi David,

I'll be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Jaguar/Apex - we build the race engines for Jaguar. Do pop by the pit, it will great to meet you and other GT40 enthusiasts from the forum.

I believe we have a mutual friend in Michael Symonds who we are helping with his degree thesis and vac work - I believe he was at Le Mans with you.

Yes - Michael is coming to Le Mans again this year. I think he's bitten by the drug that is the 24h.
Sure I'll call by your garage and say hello. I'm there courtesy of Michael Bartels
and specifically Jens Hagerlauer at Vitaphone Racing, the Herborn team.
Brian, I am counting on this one to be pleasure not work.
The weather? Changeable with some precip later in the week. The charts start to look better (more accurate) on Wednesday evening for Friday and Saturday forecasts, and similarily on Thursday for Sunday.

Just as it had been the case in the 2009 season’s first official DTM tests, held at Dijon-Prenois, Briton Oliver Jarvis again set the fastest lap time of day one, with his Audi A4 DTM.

Apologies - I missed calling by though I saw the jaguar cars post race.
Next time?
It was so bloody cold on the pit wall and the wind was howling though the garage I spent some of my time trying to warm up again in the Vitaphone hostility area and watched some of the race from there.
The Saleen had it all - bigger restrictors and no ballast. That won't last long.
