If you buy that car you get a very good replica 40 and from what I hear, a very good price. If I were to be building from scratch again, it is the car of my choice. Mick is first class in what he does, is a super nice guy and supports his product well. IMHO you also don't need to change anything from the Southern GT spec as it is very well thought through.

Building a UK supplied car from the States may present some issues from a logistics position so consider that carefully. Also $$$ sucks Vs. £££ right now. Get in touch with Brian McCarthy and he can advise you what that aspect is like as he builds his GTD in Boston.

Just buy the thing you will not be dissapointed. I thought long and hard about buying a project and no matter where I looked the Southern GT kept coming back at me. It fitted what I wanted from a build and a car perfectly, Mick Sollis is one top bloke with loads of patience and always approachable no matter what the question may be. I would consider fitting a roll cage which Mick has now developed and can be retro fitted at a very reasonable cost. A cage will stiffen up the chassis no end and also add that safety margin. There are many kits out there these days but for me the choice was easy. If you would like to chat send me a pm and I will be more than happy to have a chat on the phone. If your local I would be glad to show you my chassis and go through what the build will involve. Graham is a genuine bloke and its a shame that he has made up his mind to sell his project but it will aid someone to get a great project start.
Martin.
