Steering stops

I haven't checked the bump steer yet, rod end is close but there is no bind. The original tie rod end was way of the mark. No comment on the small brakes! Yea I know, could have much bigger, a improvement for another day.

In looking at the pic, I'm not sure of the engagement depth of the tie rod into the ball joint end. Rule of thumb for bolt-engagement was 1 1/2 times the thread diameter minimum. Absolute minimum is 5~10 threads inside. But that It won't add stiffness but will simply engage the fastener sufficiently to get torque. You need the depth of the female threaded section of the tube to get stiffness. Pull it down and measure, then set accordingly. If you can't get the necessary engagement with your stock setup, you can add a tie rod extension.

Bill, It looks like you have your suspension set to ride height, if so then when the suspension droops your heim joint will bind since it is almost touching now, you may need to add a spacer to lower the heim joint some.
