Back around 1973/74 when my wife was 17/18, she was visiting friends in Malibu, went down to the beach and ended up running into Steve McQueen and spent part of the day body surfing with him. Ali MacGraw stayed on the beach watching her toddler (Josh Evans?) and yelling at Steve to get out of the water.

Just bought and read the The last Mile book.
It a great picture story about his last years.
I am surprised there is no story about the motor racing of his live at all.
