Superformance

I did c=some searching based on posts on this site and found a Superformance delaer within 10 minutes of my work. I stopped by there yesterday and was I impressed. The quality of their current product line looks top notch - they had about 10 cobras, one coupe and one of their Lotus Seven derivatives. I asked about the GT40 and sometime this year they expect to have them hit here - and the expected $50k price was mentioned. I will be watching them very close - if the quality of the 40 is anything like what I saw yesterday -then I am in. Does anyone know if it will be a monocoque?

Hi Mike. I can attest first hand as to the quality of Superformance cars. I have one of their cobras and it is absolutely beautiful. 99% of the people who see it at car shows etc. think it's a real cobra by CS. As you saw it's very accurate in details. It's my understanding that their GT40 is supposed to be an exact reproduction of the MK1 GT40 frame and all. But like you we will all have to wait and see. I do doubt that they can produce it for the price that you were told. Time and exchange rates will tell. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

The Dollar is only 10c away from being $2 for £1 (pound) so the 50K price tag is becoming very cheap. Next time you call by , can you ask if they will offer Right Hand Drive as well. Thanks

Yes,

The car is a monocoque. And yes, it will be superb-like all the SPF products.

I am afraid to go back - for fear of buying a cobra that I don't want or need...they are so nice.

Seriously, when it sounds like the GT40 is closer to arriving I will be covering over there to see it as soon as it is available and will ask more questions.

Thank you Andre - I read the posts with great interest. If Superformance can deliver a GT40 at the $50k price in the US with their quality - I will be a customer.
