UK Visit from USA

We can only buy it in itty bitty packs of 16 tablets. Its supposed to be a measure to stop people o'ding and suffering fatal liver failure. Frankly if the government were serious they should legislate to combine the antidote in each tablet. As it is it only serves to keep prices absurdly high.

I guess it may come under the something different heading. The full strength red and white do work well and I'm waiting for a shoulder op
at the end of the season with a torn rotator cuff which tylenol seems to stop most of the pain and allow some sleep. With 4 girls in the house as well, they do have other uses.

David,

The rotator cuff surgery sucks! I had it done January 8 and they gave me Naproxin and then Lortabs. The worst part IS "trying" to sleep....pain and no comfortable positions make it a "short snooze" followed by pain when you move or roll.

Mark, Tim, Rick, and all,
Thank you very much.
Mark I'll p/m you tomorrow. Is it a business trip or vacation?
It matters little as it's an excuse for a glass or two anyway.

Ha, once Pete' turns up we'll have the whole shoulder injury sub-chapter here...

Good luck with the surgery.

Tim.

Tim, I promise I won't bore everyone with the story of my shoulders. (Yes both of them)

David the best advice I can give you is get yourself a Physio who ignores you screaming that he/she is killing you and will only back off when you are about to pass out. And start rehab straight out of the recovery room.

Come to think of it a male Physio is best because they tend to think it's funny when you throw a punch at them, the girls tend to take it a little more personally for some reason. The harder you go with rehab the quicker you will get full movement back.

And pain is just a state of mind, some even come to enjoy it like Bernie's mate Max.
Be careful of any Anti inflammatory drugs they may prescribe, any sign of side effects stop them.
Forget about the Tylenol, the best pain killer will be several bottles of that Italian rot gut you are so fond of.

Good luck with the surgery and keep us posted with your progress.

Hi Pete,
Nothing will be done surgery wise until after the DTM race in October as the Spec wants 6 to 8 weeks recovery with 4 in a sling and no driving. In the 60's I crashed a Triumph t100 - went under an artic truck and out the other side in the days before artics had underfences - just wires on supports underneath the trailer and I took a roadsign down with my r shoulder so this is the 4th op on it to sort it out. The Physios gave up as it was untreatable for them until the docs say so.

The Barolo I alternate with Millenium Riserve from Emiglia Romania and both are a matter of course. In fact it's an everyday course I do and
I alternate with the occasional bottle from Sacy which I collect in multiples twice a year - once after Le Mans and again late November for the festive period. The vinyard have asked me if I'm interested in representiing them here in the UK - well, not really as it would probably interfere too much with drinking it. Champagne Poret Jany
We do manage to get through a lot of it and their premier cru is just staggeringly gorgeous. I blame years before the mast in the airline industry
where after the flying was finished for the day we alssways had a gllasss onece the breaakes were "sit to parc".
And now it washes down the tablets, so as to speak.

Hi Dom,
Its from Guiseppe Marabini's vinyard which is called Camerone and situated in Castle Bolognese - http://www.fattoriacamerone.it/it/azienda.html about 6 miles South East of Imola or 30 miles from Bologna. I still (just ) have some 2000 and this year I bought 2003 to lay down. The 2003 is , I think, just ahead of a 2003 Barolo for quality and seeming the DOCG label (the pink collar) is no longer a guarantee of superior quality - Paolo ? Wanni ? your thoughts.
I have to admit defeat on how you can get this wine in the USA.
p.s. the 2002 passito with cheese from the area or dolomites ( Pecorino Sardo or pecorino Toscano) or even at a push grana padano with this seasons walnuts, is spectacular. It's a perfect way to round off an evening getting totally arseholed.(thats ubriaco in italian)
If you can think of a way to get some to you - let me know.
Dave M

Dave,

Sorry I didn't know this a few months ago when I was in Imola with the company Mustang. Some great Lambruscos in Emilia Romagna as well.

My dad's family comes from Villa Minozzo (they claim to make the best Parmigiano Reggiano in the whole world so I am a bit biased - up in the Appenines above Reggio Emilia about 700 meters) and the local consorzio (cheese factory) has signed a new distribution agreement in with various supermarkets in Italy. I have to get this info and post it so that when you go to Italy, you can buy the best there is !!!!

For my sins, I live west of the West Midlands in So. Staffs, but shipping the wine from Italy here is not an easy task. I tried it once, but didn't get too far.

Shoot me an email with how I can reach you and we can chat about this.

Best
Dom
