Fuchs/Silkolene Silktran SYN 5 oil is recommended by Quaffe for their ATB diffs, I have used this oil in my car for 12000 miles and can recommend this High quality product.
Our Renault gear boxes are operating at the higher end of their design criteria so look after them by using the best oil . EP stands for extreme pressure , our CWP and gears are operating under extreme pressure even at low throttle , £30-£40 for oil is not expensive for peace of mind.
This oil also allows good clean gear selection, not to heavy to prevent your synchros working,

Thanks for the quick reply, John.

One of my concerns was the statement that these oils are GL4/GL5 compatible..... my understanding was that GL5 oils were a no-no in Syncro boxes, as one of the ingredients "eats" the bronze in the Synchros.

Can anyone throw more light on this?
