Undercoating the RCR40 Rear Clip

I've been working on making the underside of the rear clip look a bit more presentable when open. I'm now at the point of wanting to put some coating on it. I plan on using some type of truck bedliner on the inside of both front & rear wheel housings but not sure what to do with the center section sitting directly over a hot engine. Will bedliner hold up in that area or is there an alternative?

I would be very surprised if bed liner would do anything good. I used Lizard Skin thermal coating over the whole underside and then placed a sheet of aluminum over the header area with a standoff gap. I forgot who it was but someone else did something similar but better. I put on my aluminum after it was painted so I had to get clever on how to attach it. If you do it before you can add some fiberglass to attach to or even have a screw go through the rear clip and cover it up before paint. The headers get the rear clip REALLY hot. You should plan to mitigate that with a priority
