Watkins Glen

Anyone going to the Vintage Race Car Races at Watkins Glen this weekend? Looks like the weather might be rain free.

I was there. It was a fun weekend. Lots of Lolas and GT40s. This is Bill Murray's GT40.

Hello everyone,
I was there.Great event with many fine cars.Great watching the "Big Bangers" thread thru the glen's high speed esses and thunder down the long backstretch!

The town itself puts on a seperate festival downtown on friday .It's not to be missed by historic racing buffs. At the end of the day the cars are driven down from the track and are gridded for a special re-enactment parade race consisting of three laps around the original course.Unfortunately a passenger in one of the cars leaned too far back in an older car with large diameter tires and was pulled out of the cockpit and run over.Luckily we saw this and rushed out to stop the ensuing cars.Apparently she will be ok.Scary though...
