I've been restoring classic cars for almost ten years now and I'm keen for a new project and perhaps something a little more challenging than a resto (+ if I see another rusty panel I'm going to scream!)
Love the concept of building a car from scratch but the prospect of registration in Melbourne, Australia terrifies me. I went through hell registering an import last year and this was a production car in concourse condition. My old man also built a Westfield kit and had all sorts of problems.
So, I'm hoping to obtain some guidance from the gt folk here if I could?
Firstly, there is a vendor in Australia that produces what appears to be a quality kit. My only apprehension is the cost - from what I can deduce its 100k +
There appears to be better value in other countries and Im not adverse to importing a kit. How do I determine who makes the best kits given I'm over the pond? Is there a post within this forum that objectively compares one kit against another? I've had a skim through and couldn't find anything.
