The perp got off easy--just reconstructive facial surgery? Had it been my child, he'd also have been trying to find a doctor to replace his tallywhacker b/c I'd have carried a knife with me.
Here in the U.S. a farmer grew tired of finding his barn and other outbuildings pilfered by the local druggies, so he mounted a shotgun to a chair, positioned the chair inside the building so that it was aimed it at the door, and connected the door to the trigger of the shotgun with a string. You guessed it, a perp attempted to get into the outbuilding and got shot, sued the farmer and won a huge settlement. The farmer was charged with a crime, the perp wasn't.
Go figure!
People say there is no place for vigilante justice, but until our current system starts to deliver true justice, I respectfully disagree. I'm a true believer in an eye for an eye. As far as justice goes, that makes more sense to me than the current permissive attitude in our criminal system, which just seems to encourage the scoff-laws and frighten the general public.
What are our leaders thinking????? I guess I better :lipsrsealed: !!
