Same kinda thing where the taxi driver in New York City was robbed and shot. As soon as the robber got out of the car, the cabbie ran him over and pinned him against another car or wall or something. He then waited for the police to come and arrest the robber, instead they took him the emergency room to treat his broken bones, handcuffed the cabbie and took him into custody and to the hospital much later. The robber was let off and the cabbie was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon (car), and some other BS.

Also, the dude who was going to rob a house and whilst sneaking around on the roof, fell through a skylight and broke both legs. Sued the homeowners and got a high 6 figure settlement from the homeowners insurance.

This world has become padded for the extremely stupid.

Thanks a lot bureaucrats and friggin attorneys!!

The perp got off easy--just reconstructive facial surgery? Had it been my child, he'd also have been trying to find a doctor to replace his tallywhacker b/c I'd have carried a knife with me.

Here in the U.S. a farmer grew tired of finding his barn and other outbuildings pilfered by the local druggies, so he mounted a shotgun to a chair, positioned the chair inside the building so that it was aimed it at the door, and connected the door to the trigger of the shotgun with a string. You guessed it, a perp attempted to get into the outbuilding and got shot, sued the farmer and won a huge settlement. The farmer was charged with a crime, the perp wasn't.

Go figure!

People say there is no place for vigilante justice, but until our current system starts to deliver true justice, I respectfully disagree. I'm a true believer in an eye for an eye. As far as justice goes, that makes more sense to me than the current permissive attitude in our criminal system, which just seems to encourage the scoff-laws and frighten the general public.

What are our leaders thinking????? I guess I better :lipsrsealed: !!
