I'm just wrapping up the build of my FFR Roadster, a MK3.1 non-donor build, and starting to think about my next big project. (see my posts on ffcars.com, or my personal website)
I've leaning towards an RCR-40 build, as something that's unique, challenging, and relatively practical (at least compared to a topless Cobra roadster) with a roof, proper heat, and A/C.
I built my Roadster under somewhat limiting conditions: an unheated 2-car garage in Massachusetts, with 15 amp service for the entire building (air compressor OR lights, never both at the same time! ;-), and a 7 foot ceiling. In an ironic case of timing, just as I wrapped up the FFR and towed it to the painter, my wife fell in love with a house for sale nearby which happens to have 5 garage bays with radiant floor heat, 300 amp service, and ceiling height for a proper lift. We're moving in next month, so the new garage is calling for a new project!
Looking forward to learning so much more!
