Mess with the bull, you get the horn...so to speak.

'Hope the end result here was that the taxpayer's weren't on the hook for trials and "three hots and a cot" for the next 30 years...if you get my drift.

The video is from a movie....... I think it was "the last watch" or something like that. It was a good flick for a lot of reasons, Scott

I've been duped!

Obviously all LEO's really face each day, is to have to choose between sprinkles, or sugar glazed! ;)

I alternate between chocolate with rainbow sprinkles and glazed jelly filled. My astronomical chart must be confused.

Knowing you are in England I couldn't help wonder how you view the video snippet from your perspective, especially since your police and criminals perhaps don't carry weapons as frequently. I had to watch the movie segment again and on this occasion I could see how the basic actions haven't changed that much from the shoot'em-ups of our wild western days: the horses are vehicles now, and the clothing is different. The weapon is the same and the violence identical.

The sugar made me post it. Robert

The Police here are under constant pressure - worse than the USA I think.

I saw a recent documentary about a Spanish gentleman (ex Iberian cop) who had joined the New Zealand police service.

He simply could not relax at all and reckoned he felt "completely naked" without his gun.. I am not sure, but he may have quit before finishing his training, and this being New Zealand I think they probably have a lot less gun/weapon crime than the UK, although those Maori clubs could spoil your day!

Exactly...

And their numbers will never decrease...

That depends whether you mean cops or the bad guys with guns.BTW I think I know who you are talking about.
Although death by gun has decreased, law abiding citizens who handed their guns in, when they want to do away with themselves now jump off tall buildings or hang themselves
Cops are are dimishing because our states are broke and cannot afford police,
The Pollies call it rationalisation or budget cuts, of course they still find the money to give themselves pay increases.
Bad dudes who didn't hand their guns in are still using them to commit crime.
They are still importing them as well, those in the know can buy a gun on the city streets all that has happened is the price has gone up.:stunned:

It's strange (Who knew), good, and bad to hear about such matters within Australia. I would not have guessed it were so, and don't hear much news from there generally.

It's only good since it makes me feel less bad knowing America is not the only country that's so f&*^%$ up. It's bad too because it now appears to be a world-wide trend, except for China and all the oil pumping Arab nations, of course!

BTW, I'm no expert, but common sense may dictate that either a well placed bullet, or a special pill would get the job done painlessly, and I'll defer to others their choice to jump off structures and scream their lungs out 'til they become a liquid blob against a cement slab.

WTF

Your perception is flawed. Shit happens in every single nation on Planet Earth that Homo Sapien inhabits and it's self inflicted.

It's not fucked up particularly - it's the way it's always been except now you can read about it and worry..

The virus that causes all the shit is ourselves - it's not THEM, it's US.

The Baron has hit the nail on the head!

And you should see what he uses for a hammer!:stunned:

Seriously though I think we get the Politicians we deserve, it appears that world wide all politicians are self serving bastards only intent on staying in power and feathering their own nests, with no thought whatsoever for the future of the country or the future of our children.
I blame the Kiwis, they were the first to give women the vote, that's when democracy's started becoming all feeley, touchey, you cant hang people, you cant, give the bad kid six of the best, you cant let people who don't want to work starve....ETC.
What we need is to do away with democracy and have a dictatorship...
With me as dictator of course.
