Steering column controls.

Just doing a bit of research here.
What are my options for a small neat stalk to hang of the side of the column.
I know the originals just had a headlight flash switch on the column and nothing much else. The indicators and headlights were on another stalk/switch mounted in the dash

If possible, I’m wondering if I can find something that’s going to look period correct, that may do the indicators as well.
Keen to hear what others have found that’s available.

I have had no luck finding the Mini Lucas part, or the VW part that is similar so time to expand the search.

Regards Ryan

You haven't asked the right person; I have a few of the Lucas ones that protrude from they dash. They operate the indicators, main/dipped beam/headlamp flash as well as the horn.

It's not what you asked for but the original dash multi switch was a Ford 120E part. I gave Ron Scarborough my last one.

If you want a multi functional switch with a chrome stalk on the column have a look at the 3-way column switch for a Triumph TR4 - 6.

I used the Ford switch, as shown above in James's post, pulled from a MKII Cortina at a wreckers. Does indicators, horn, high beam and flash.
I cant remember, but did you have it mounted to the column or do you have it coming out of a hole in the dash?

If its coming out of a hole in the dash, then i have no idea how its mounted. Never seen photos of an original to show how that switch was mounted in the dash.

Mine is mounted on the column (LHS).

Thanks Brian, must look ok as I had not noticed it. Ergo it matches in well with the rest of the build. Granted I was probably looking at the way the Monocoque has been constructed.
