could you not just cut the neck a bit shorter (but not compromising a good seat for the hose) ? On my car, there is no such interference problem.
I run the hose all the way down to the fuel tank. I removed the elbow pipe that sat about half-way down connecting two pieces of fuel hose. It was not exactly of the right diameter and I could not get rid of a fuel leak. Your idea may work as well. Just make sure the filler nozzle (at the gas station) can be inserted properly.

Need help with fuel filler cap to tank hose routing.
Mounted the filler cap onto the frame/body, but the hose has ZERO clearance to make the curve before wheel well (firewall).

Thinking of CUTTING the filler neck(blue), and WELDING(green) the provided 45' aluminum angle (red), at an offset-angle, to clear the wheel well (black).

How did you mount your 2" Marine hose to the gas filler cap and rout to the tank?
Darius,
I assume you have read the responses on FB, but I thought it might be helpful for others on GT40s to share Jeff Bruss’ post regarding the F150 filler tube option.

IT WORKS !!!
I trimmed about 50% of aluminum filler neck length for added clearance.

Jerry,
The ‘GT40s Builders Group’ and ‘Race Car Replicas RCR Owners, Builders, For Sale - RCR40, SL-C, 917, etc.’ groups are good resources. Fran often chimes in on the RCR group. For me they make joining FB worth while.
Cheers, Randy

Having an issue with mounting doors. It seems like they are too long (okay trim it), and run into the rollbar (MORE trimming..?) ?
I had to remove the spider, as that was just complicating and interfering that I couldn't even get the door to rest anywhere near in position.

The rear firewall is 43" from front frame (as per RCR instructions).

Simply PLACED together with masking tape:

Other measurements:

Now that I am trying to get the hinges installed, and need the door "inside" the doorframe (not duct-taped to the outside of spider), I couldnt get it to fit inside... so I took off the spider. Now the rollbar isnt letting me go rearward enough to clear the front hood (nor match the fender/door/hood intersection).

Have any of you had this issue...?

Do I just trim AROUND the rollbar, and make door clearance? (Does your interior door skin go in front or behind the rollbar at this point?)
