Why Ferrari engineers don't like turbos

Ferrari 488 GTB turbocharges its way towards Geneva debut Ironic that their new 488 is a turbocharged V8...

I'm also heavily invested in Mitsubishi 4g63s, but a beefier drivetrain may be a blessing if the adapter plates are made.

The oil return flange mostly. And occasionally on the mating surface where it meets the block. Now a good fitting welded onto the pan instead of the factory style return would alleviate the leak there. The other potebtial leak is fixed by ensuring the mating surface is perfectly flat. Also...

Moroso sells a pan that leaks on the majority of cars I've seen them on. But it has a kicked out sump.

I kind of wish I had gotten an SLR when I first found out about them a couple years ago. Have fun at the shootout! I haven't been to it in 10 years sadly :(

That looks amazing. I can't wait until the photo shout pictures.

The LS4 camp should probably look for the NT 420a cars considering the Mitsu harness will be incompatible anyways. May as well rip everything out and replace it with something like a Painless kit for the chassis with that new MSD EFI for engine management. I'll be looking for the cleanest...

    Superlite GTA

I'll enjoy my simpler air to air setup with a quick spooling small frame on my 4g63 Apex. Speaking of those side vents. A side mounted and fairly thick core would be plenty sufficient. This leaves the other side for an oil cooler and radiator.

I wish I had the funds as I'm local. I just bought a bigger house out in Pahrump and will spend my extra money on house upgrades. Good luck with the sale.

    4G63 & the APEX

The Mitsubishi 4g63 and Chrysler 420a engines offered in these cars did not use the same automatic transmissions. The Chrysler transmission is a A604/41TE transmission. The Mitsubishi is a F4A33 or W4A33 depending on FWD or AWD applications. I have no idea what a built Chrysler auto would...

    DSM Classifieds Thread

That's not a bad car to start with. The 1995 year is the desirable year for those with annual inspections and the 95 ECU is a big seller. That being said this is an auto and a 7bolt 4g63 car. Personally I wouldn't use either on my Apex. I see the auto being more of a drag strip transmission...

    4G63 & the APEX

Magnus parts are too notch. My rotating assembly in my DSM is also all magnus parts. Some of the fastest DSMs have been magnus powered. And forced performance turbos are too notch as well. That car is going to be a beast in its current form. Check out their pages for some examples. Forced...

I would have to agree. Deviating from the original plan should be completely fabricated by the owner and not RCR.

A 2g dash wrapped in leather with a different colored stitching would give it a much more modern look. I personally like the interior regardless.

Leon, You've made some great points there about the OBDII and emissions testing. I've been in this DSM game for 13 years now and understand all of the little differences with the motors and transmissions My questions was more targeted towards the differences flywheel and transmission...

    Superlite GTA

I just want something that looks and handles amazing that is powered by a 4g63. I would like to know if I were to pick up a good condition 2g DSM for cheap, does it matter which chassis (awd vs fwd) I purchase to eventually turn into this kit. Registering an Eclipse is a lot easier to do in...
