Pete:

The knob is from one of the GTM clan but it was engraved with the wrong pattern. I cut a recess in the top and made a new tag for it. I can duplicate the tags, change colors, etc if anyone is interested.

Tools used: AutoCAD (for layout), CNC tag engraver ( for the tag ) and a lathe to cut the recess in the top of the knob.

I've basically finished with the Miata outer door release assrmblies, inner door release and the tie rods. I created a slotted arm that bolts to the back side of the Miata outer door release. The slotted arm serves to lock the handle as well as allows the inner door handle to always function (without a locking mechanism).

Headlamp fitting today... Only a few hours of frustration on the right hand side since the headlamp cups actually fit. I'll bond those in and make up an aluminum ring to mount the lamp adjusters into and I'll be good to go. I'm going the path less traveled here as well. The furnished left-hand lamp cups do not fit at all so fiberglass here I come. At least my lamps will be adjustable and centered which comes with its own pitfalls. Enjoy...

After a bit I was able to get the left-hand head lamp cups to fit. I still don't really like how the high beams fit but I can blend the body in and make them work.
