Advice on weatherproofing a Southern GT Pedal box

I had a cover made to go over the pedal box which with a little sealing could made it pretty watertight, the bloke made 2 so have a spare if you want
it?

I have made a cover of my own, now going to apply all the advice to try and stop it leaking. Thank you for your kind offer, I am OK at the moment, but may be back if things do not go to plan .
