Well, I'm fairly well travelled, and I must say that the most polite and respectful kids I come across are from the Good O'l U.S.A. With yes sir, and thank you, very much in evidence. Nothing like the little shits that live in my street at home.
So maybe there is still some hope.

Love the picture spotted it this morning, i have'nt laughed so much in ages!

Showed the wife and was expecting " Ooh i do hope they got out OK" ... but even she got the joke and was laughing her head off !

PS agree with comments regarding todays kids, have 2 of our own & brought them up to be be polite and respectful. Ours are great but after six months at big school you can see the infuences of others and lack of teachers ability to dicipline.

Cheers

Pete , mate i couldnt agree more, although I also am resonably well travelled i havnt got to the states, but do find that they are a lot more polite than others, i can still remember when calling an adult sir was mandatory for a child and i was well into my 20's before first names became comfortable, yet today on both sides of our ditch as soon as kids learn to talk there calling even there parents by their first names or god forbid even worse, and it seems socialy aceptable, Mmmmmm, maby i'm just an old fart who should change with the times, Nah
bring back resect and a we bit of disaplin and we may, just may be able to salvage something
purley my opinion of course
rant over, John

Nothing a bit of good old birching wouldn't sort out. Pity we can't send them down mines or up chimneys these days. No more 2 legged 'pit ponies.' No powder monkeys, no "nippers" 'tween decks and no 'Kissing the Gunners Daughter' for minor indiscretions at sea.

What is the world coming to ?
