Another moron

What's with the hand wringing over this "hyper-limited 612 ho beast?" Roush slapped a pulley kit on it, added tinted windows and powder coated the wheels and put a couple stickers on. That's it? Oh, yeah, the uber-scarce Roush number plate. This package probably goes for, what, $50,000?

Another moron indeed.

I heard that 4-6 GT's per month are being totalled....

With only 100 repair/replacement chassis having been built, and the production line dismantled and some tooing destroyed, they may just end up being collectable after all...
The chassis price was 58k..I heard its now 70k...ouch

It just reinforces my thoughts that the $$$$$ rich - driving talent poor twits that buy these types of cars do not really appreciate them. The person that builds a car with a lot of sweat equity in it is much less likely to have this sort of catastrophe happen to them. Some of these clowns come by their $$$ too easily and fit in the easy come -easy go bracket.

Time doesn't equal money. Time equals respect. When you spend YEARS building one of these cars and money that is very precious and hard earned you tend to spend some of that time LEARNING HOW TO DRIVE.

The truth is guys like this (checkbook builders) just laugh it off and go and buy another toy. I wish they would buy hanggliders instead of cool hot-rods. At least the first stupid stunt would be the last one.

Now before anyone thinks I'm just jealous, I know people with a LOT of money who are very thoughtful, experienced and qualified drivers. Just because someone has a lot of money doesn't make them fools. It's just it always seams to be a guy with more money that experience with pain that fucks up a nice car like this one.

I think Ford GT's and Vipers are just the ticket for this kind of mentality. Not really a huge amount of money and a lot of performance. You see the same thing on Harleys. 50-60k and you're a bad Harley riding dude. Until the first thing comes up that requires a basic degree of competence riding a bike. Then its crash, fall over, "I'll never ride one again" and on to the next toy.

I should have left it enough said but this kind of thing just pisses me off.
