Another SL C coming to canada

been following SL C's and this site for a while now and I can finally say I will soon have an SL C kit in my garage. after tons of research, endless google searches and a few hours at RCR I put my order in. Anyone on the fence about one fo these kits needs to go down to RCR and see the craftmanship that goes into these kits. I can't wait start my build and when I'm finished I am going to head straight to the track and embaress all those prancing horses and raging bulls.

Jay, So the plan is to do in a Ferrari or two ea? Mine is gonna be a NASCAR killer. Same idea, different target! Great to have you in the fraternity. Do a build log! We need more of them here. It's fun too!

Drop me a PM if you need any help.

Howard.

Jay,

Congratulations and welcome to the SLC fraternity! As Howard said, start a build thread beginning with your car's arrival for all to enjoy. We arre all here to help and learn.

Welcome to the forum Jay, and to the SL-C clatch! Enjoy your build. Lots of info from other builders sharing here.

I'm curious about something. I've read on other threads here that Canadian laws are very hostile towards kit cars, and they can't be brought into the country unless they are older than 15 years, or something like that? It supposedly makes life hard for Canadian GT40 fans, because Superformance etc. cars can't be sold there, and the only options are older KVA, ERA, GTD etc. cars.

So, if that's true, by what means is it possible to bring a brand new SLC in? And if one can bring in a brand new SLC, why not a brand new SPF or RCR GT40?

Just curious...since (a) I live in California and (b) I'm so broke I can't even pay attention, so I'm still years away from my own GT40....:undecided:

Another SL-C to Canada, eh?

That's great!

These guys on this forum seem to have an inexhaustible supply of advice and encouragement. It's a good group that you have joined. :-)

You have a daunting task ahead of you: making a car that will best the best from Maranello and Santa 'Agata. You are the early 21st century equivalent to Jim Hall and the C
haparrall 2! Good luck to you! I hope you succeed! :-)

I hope straight to the track means Mosport, I'm 20 minutes west in Brooklin, would love to see it out there.
