We have the track reserved for Friday Nov. 30th. So far there are six confirmed drivers (including a Ferrari 599!) and will cap attendance to fifteen to keep the track from getting crowded. This is an excellent opportunity to get your car out on track without forty other cars in your way. Not to mention the insane amount of time you will be able to spend scraping rubber off your tires!

The track costs $3300 for the day and we will just divide that by the number of drivers. So bring as many cars as you like! Passengers are allowed so bring the significant other and family! Don't forget helmets!

List of expected cars;
  • Ford GT
  • Superformance GT-40
  • Superformance Daytona Coupe

Re: Arizona Guys;

I just started up CAV134 but 1/2 shafts come on monday so the 30th is pushing it. Where is Firebird? and please keep inviting us. I live in Oregon.

Re: Arizona Guys;

Will I be an annoying roadblock if I arrive driving the Lotus Elise with a measly 190hp?

Re: Arizona Guys;

Ha! 190hp and 2g's lateral grip!! ;)

I would guess 90% of the guys out there will be relatively cautious (slow) so no problem to bring the Elise!

Re: Arizona Guys;

Sounds like a great opportunity to compare the FGT and the GT40 side by side...

... at 400 miles from LA, it's a bit of a haul in the Lotus, but it sounds worth it. Maybe I will bring a friend (with cameras and spares) in the comfy Magnum wagon, and we can trade off when my butt gets sore.

List of expected cars;
  • Ford GT White/Blue
  • Superformance GT-40
  • Superformance Daytona Coupe
  • Ferrari 599

More Info.....

Tracktime from 8 to 5. We can get there earlier to set up.

No schedule, there should be so few people you can go pit when you want. We'll lay down some ground rules and limit it to 8 cars on track at one time.

Yes there will be rescue, that is included in the track cost.

There will not be corner workers but hopefully there will be cone brake and apex markers.

No food or drink, unless you want to order it beforehand.

If you would like an instructor one can be arranged from 300 to 450 a day.

Jeff,

I have moved this twice to the Motorsports events area where Track Day events belong. Is there a reason you posted it again in the SPF forum? Are you only inviting SPF cars?

Ron

Oh good, I'm not going insane!! I thought I posted here then it was GONE! :)

I posted this in the SPF forum because I personally have 2 SPF cars that will be there and thought it would nice let other SPF owners know about it. I will be happy to give rides to folks if they're interested in some laps.

If you don't think the post belongs here delete it. Now that I know whats happening I promise I won't keep re-posting... LOL.

Okay, I am good to go! I plan to drive down with an orange 2006 Elise and a black 2006 Magnum SRT8 (carrying wife and/or buddy, cameras, Yokohamas, etc.) on Thursday night...

Any hotels you like in the general area of Firebird? I've stayed at The Boulders and loved it, but that's on the opposite side of Phoenix... after 350 miles in the Lotus, I'm sure I'll be looking for the hot tub!

Thats great Charlie! Glad you guys are coming!

I have some relatives who have stayed at one of the Indian Casino/resorts in the area and they were really impressed with the accommodations. I'll find out which one and let you know.

Agreed.... a hot tub will be required!
