Ray, as you've found, the Renault boxes are around, there is one on the NZ Trademe site at the moment. I have 8 of all types in my workshop and sold off half a dozen UN1-13s over the years. Just gotta keep your eyes open. The Audi box is harder to come by here in NZ, but again, they are around. Like most boxes of this sort on the verge of power overload, they will need upgrading, the 1-peice shaft and diff for the UN1 and the rear bearing plate and possibly the diff unit for the Audi. But in saying that, a local guy with a GT40 and a 'cough' Chevy 350 in it, he has never had gearbox issues with a standard 369/5, and he hammers the hell out of the car.
I would say for moderate power inputs either box is fine. Just a cruise around the site here to see what people are using and they would all seem rather happy with either box. If there were Audis or Renaults blowing up every time the owners take the cars out, we would soon know about it on here!!!
