B.O. Supports Mosque near ground zero.

Al, Al, Al.....now, did you REALLY hear Bee-OH say he supported the Mosque? Did you REALLY hear him use the words "ground zero"? I listened twice to the clip, never heard him say either of those things. What I did hear him say was that he was sincerely compassionate to the feelings of New Yorkers in regards to where this would be built, on private property, expressed condolences to those affected by 9/11, and stated that we are a country based on the freedom to practice the religion of our choice. I didn't ever hear him support the location of the mosque or even imply that he would support it being built on Ground Zero.

I frequently admit that my ears ring constantly (tinnitus).....I like to blame it on too many years of loud rock 'n' roll, but the sad truth is that I did it to myself as a teenager by driving loud tractors and hunting with big-bore shotguns and high powered rifles......but despite all that, my computer is run through the home theater system in my home and I can get the sound loud enough to hear well.....I never heard him "...supports Mosque near ground zero".

I did, however, notice that whoever posted the YouTube clip titled it that way. Now, why do you suppose they did that? Do you suppose they had an agenda or a particular political persuasion?

Keep your eye on the prize, that is, qualify your sources of information, make sure they are unbiased if you are going to vouch for their veracity.

Your link didn't work, here's one that does.....listen again, please, if I missed the important parts it's b/c I was sitting at this desk daydreaming of what Monica did for Bill.....post the time in the clip at which Bee-OH stated unequivocally that he supported the Mosque being built at Ground Zero, not just the Muslim's right to build their house of worship on private property. Please.....let me know where I missed it so I can eat some crow :shy: .

YouTube - Obama backs 'Ground Zero' mosque

Cheers from Doug

I was re-reading your post and came across the word tinnitus, my ears have been ringing ever since. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I too daydream about Monica, it seems that what she did for Bill is the only thing that endeared her to me. 18 years old and flashing a thong at the President of the United States of America. The girl had big balls! It's amazing what is sacrificed for head.

Jim said that BO made no reference to ground zero, that's all that I was refering to. "And ground zero is indeed hallowed ground" BO quote 38 seconds into the speech.

I guarantee that the President did not make a comment about the "Ground Zero Mosque" Why do you put words in his mouth, I'm thinking to inflame the one or two people who still believe what you post? QUOTE, posted by me.

Al you post lies, you post missleading information and you lie about what I say. Stop the missleading crap!!

As anyone who looks can tell you I guaranteed the president did not say "Ground Zero Mosque". He said that "Ground Zero" is sacrid. He never refered to A mosque at ground zero because the isn't one and you know it.

Al, stop the missleading out of context crap. Stop posting edited tapes and stop saying someone said something if they did not!

Your LIES are only hurting you cause.

I am tired of being told to be tolerant OF those who refuse to be tolerant BY those who refuse to be tolerant.

This is what I was referring to. Although I respect your opinions as well as others that have commented, it does not mean that I totally agree with them. Let's keep this thread as adults and stop the personal rashes!

Jim,
I have never been in favor of disrespecting anyone based upon their religious beliefs or their non-beliefs as the case may be. I believe that the Muslims should build their mosques as they see fit. There are over 35 such mosques in the N.Texas region where I live. For the most part the believers that attend are a nice group. There has been some evidence of radical Islam in several of the mosques and they are no doubt being watched by the government agencies that are entrusted with that role. Good for them.
However, your lumping me into a group of misinformationists (liars?) is out of bounds old buddy. First of all you don't have a clue about what I believe or disbelieve, only that I disagree with you on some points. That seems to be enough for you to bring on the rage and accusations. You remind me of those very pundits you so vehemently oppose on conservative radio and TV. You chose to interpret what you want from what is written.
For what it is worth there was an excellent opinion piece in the Dallas Morning News from a subscriber saying the very thing that you are trying to push about this "Community Center". Again I say, if the KKK, Skinheads, or other dumbasses wanted to build a "community center" near the NAACP, Holocost Museum, ETC., there would be an outcry that would be heard around the globe and these entities would be justified in voicing their displeasure. Some things are insensitive in nature regardless of the good intentions. I don't know why you have sided with the Muslims on this issue but your compassion is misplaced with regards to the American People, especially New Yorkers. And the last time I checked, NY was a melting pot of different nationalities, most of whom don't want this mosque anywhere near the Ground Zero hallowed ground. That may not agree with your viewpoint, but since you live in CA, you don't get a vote on this issue.

Tom, Molleur

That is 100% crap. CRAP CRAP!!!!!

I defy you to show us were President Obama said "BO said that this is no longer a Nation of Christians, but a Muslum nation."

I'm still waiting for someone to show proof the the President said the above quote or retract the statment!

Jim, You should seek help. You never acknowledge when your wrong, you just go off on another tirade. I don't like being called a liar, I try to be humorous with you, you don't respond. You've got a giant case of the ass for some reason, vent on someone else. That makes two people that have said this to you. Seriously talk to someone.

Jim, I am rather certain that you don't believe that Fox News is a legit news source, but there were over 34,000 links to his comment of the United States no longer being a Christian Nation, but a Muslum nation. He has said this more than once. This is just one article that came up. I also saw footage of him saying this to a Muslum group of some kind.

But that isn't all the of the quote and it doesn't end in "but a Muslim nation." The actual quote from President Obama was/is:
"I think that the right might worry a bit more about the dangers of sectarianism. Whatever we once were, we're no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers," Obama wrote in an e-mail to CBN News senior national correspondent David Brody.
Hard to find fault with what President Obama wrote (and spoke) with respect to this single quite as it is factual. We are a multicultural nation with many religious beliefs. We are no longer a "Christian" nation in the sense that we are no longer exclusively Christian as we were several hundred years ago.

Tom,

The link to fox convervative entertainment does not show President Obama saying "this is no longer a Nation of Christians, but a Muslum nation."

Tom for a Country to be "no longer a "Nation of Christians", it would first have to be a Christian nation.

As you know, or should know the USA has never been a "Chritian Nation" As you know, or should know our country was established for several reasons one of them being the FREEDOM OF RELIGION.

I guarantee that Jews, Mormans, Hindues, Seikes, Butists.................and yes Muslums know this is not and has never been a Christian Nation.

Our founding fathers specificly added the "separation of church and state" for very good reasons.

Tom, show us were President Obama said the USA is "no longer a "Nation of Christians". Not some quote or out of context talk about something else but him actually saying and meaning that somehow things have changed.

He may have said this is not a Christion Nation because it is not and never has been a Christion Nation, but the words "no longer.........." implies he has somehow changed something.

Tom, show us were he said this is now "a Muslum Nation", meaning we are exclusively a Muslum nation. Not we are a Juish nation, we are a Hindu nation, we are a Morman nation......................... because if you take that quote out of context you can make it sound like he was anowncing some sort of major change and you all know that is not true.

Tom your posts show someone who is genuanlly concerned about our country. I understand, we are all genuinly concerned about our country.

Tom it sounds to me that you have listened to consevative infomertials and have believed what they told you. As you can see by some of the posts here you are not alone. This becomes obvious when you look at all the missleading, half truth, out of context posts we regularly get.

Tom it is my feeling that the greatest threat to our country right now is the divisive nature of conservative infomertials and the effect they are having on people like you.

Tom despite what these infomertials tell you nothing has changed, we are now and always have been a country of Americans with freedoms to whorship as we please.

Tom, if you want to know what is really happining in our Country and the world, I strongly suggest you try and find an honest source of news.

Guys

Am I the only one who has noticed that no one has mentioned that the last non-combat troups have left Iraq? I know there are still thousands of non-combat troups to continue "training", but our combat troups have left.

I waited several days for someone to comment, but I guess everyone is too busy missquoting, taking taking things out of context and editing tape to mention something of this magnatude.

It may be that fox infomertials do not cover this sort of thing, or mabey the people who post political stories here did not want to mention anything that would paint our President in a good light, but I think it is wonderful.

To our troops, let me be the first to say Welcome home, well done! we missed you!

Ron, I appreciate you post, its good to have people who look at both sides. As to the above quote, I'm not sure that even several hundred years ago we were a Chistian Nation. Absolulty the majority of Americans have been Christians and for this reason it may appear that we were a Christian nation but we have always had multiple beliefs.

And the separation of Chirch and State has been in effect, even if not inforced.

I'm sure not 100% Christian. Certainly not. But I bet the large majority were some flavor of Christianity with other groups of faith, or non-faith, sprinkled in for a bit of flavor.

Jim, I certantly expressed joy with the news that our combat troops are coming home! Tragedy is that those left there to "train" are still in harms way. In any case, we will continue to run special ops as usual. What a waste IMO!
