Besides the Drivetrain, how much fab work is involved with the SL-C?

Hi, new guy here. I currently have a supercharged NSX but cannot stop thinking about the SL-C, so I'm debating on whether to sell the NSX for a SL-C build.

I'm pretty handy with my hands. I've built motors and backhalved an old RX7 of mine etc. etc.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what all is involved with a Sl-C build before I move forward with my plan.

So, how much fab work is involved with building the SL-C?

I would be interested in purchasing it as a roller, then figuring out the drivetrain later.

Thanks,
Eric

A standard build is largely bolt-up. Very little fabrication other than cutouts, purchasing some fasteners, etc. A little fiberglassing experience will help but not really necessary. If you keep to the "standard" build it is VERY straight forward.

Awesome info. Thanks for the quick reply.

So, the 43K price pretty much includes everything needed but the drivetrain?

Eric, please take up Dean on his offer, you'll see that everything is first class
(including Dean's build). Next, you'll be heading to Clinton Township!

We are practically neighbors! Come over this weekend and check it out first hand.

Hi Dean, My friend Ron Atchison lives in Centralia so I'm there every once in awhile.

I'd love to visit once the weather warms up a little if that's ok with you?

Thanks for the offer!

Eric

Ron and I went to high school together. I haven't seen him in years. We traded some Jeep tires back in the day when we both had CJ's. Next time your in the area, give me a call.

Ha, yeah; I just got off the phone with him and he said the same thing. I'll try to shoot for the first weekend of March.

Thanks again!
Eric
