No. 8 made it to the target.
Doing my best not to turn the stainless exhaust pipe I have into scrap. Turns out that 1 1/2 inch ABS works great for 2 inch exhaust mock up. My MIG is no good for this, gota find a good tig'er
Yup, you see an oil pressure gauge sender as well as an idiot light switch cause I had to fill a hole in the dash.

A little progress, 8 pipes found their mark. I just tacked things together an will find a good TIG welder.
Some wiring bits showed up so made some headway at the dash. I will be able to remove 7 mounting screws and unplug the wiring to the dash and out it comes as an assembly. A little wire organizing and all will be good. I did the same with the GT40. Less than an hour to remove the spider, unplug the dash and remove 4 bolts to lift it out in one piece.

I was going to put this post in the paddock under joke of the day but!! Things must be getting tough at CAV in South Africa as Jordy has offered to replace his screw up for $ 355.00 US ( $ 460.00 CDN. ) freight. Very nice of him. The photo is NOT reversed.

A little progress. Wiring done except to hook up lights after the body is mounted. A little carpet to lay. I have to aquire parts to make a drive shaft.
Get my neighbor / welder to tig up my header parts, fab some kind of caliper bracket for park brakes. Then see if it runs. The last big job will be me trying to do my own paint job, what the heck, first time for everything.

This is a warning to all. I called Stainless Header INC. and had a chat as to what I wanted. A header kit that would work on a Boss 302 / 4 V Cleveland style head in a Cobra and this is what I got, plus freight of course. Who would build a header flange like this. They blamed me for the design and left me with no choice but to pay for the return freight as well as the freight on the replacement kit. There isn't enough room on this site to explain the BS I encountered with UPS and customs trying to explain that this is replacement item.
was that the place out of MN?

Things have been slowing down a bit on the build cuz summers on its way. Taking on new landscaping projects and a little work on the bike installing more lights and a major service so I can spend the summer behind bars. Back country road trips on the horizon, love it.
I want to get the Cobra running before I stop work on it for a few months. Headers made and all we need now is an output yoke for the trans so I can install it and see if every thing works as planed. The yoke in the pic could not be used because it couldn't be installed with the diff so close. I have split cap one on it's way.
