Thanks Nick

Great pictures, just amazed how few were posted this time.

A minimum of 13 hours and 800miles each way was just a step to far, plus the £3k cost to do it put me off this year!

Also two years ago it was so packed and so hot it was not as enjoyable as previous years, basically a victim of its own success!

Perhaps next time

Ian

More to follow just need to find the time to resize them and not be at work :( Even hotter this year and sadly a little bit more commercialised but still amazing and total organised chaos that only the French can do so well. Where else can you see four mechanics on a paddock car with one facing backwards holding onto a trolley stacked with tools thereby pulling it along behind and they weren't hanging around :)

025JPG looks like it might/could be chassis P104? I have no idea though.
number in roundel is wrong though, normally 72?

image 065jpg, car number 18 im going to guess is Chassis P111 ?

18 MACEDO SILVA/MACEDO SILVA PRT/PRT FORD GT 40 Roadster 1965

I do not why but at the garage it only showed the name of the driver, Car and engine. Some of the engine sizes were wrong. It would have been nice to show the chassis number. Even at the museum did not have the chassis number on the GT40 on display. The heat and the long walks was difficult. I walked on haft a day over 6 miles at the track walking around the pits. I was surprised of the attendance even on Friday and Saturday I saw the traffic jam on the highway to get in. The traffic length was easy a few miles long at 10am

I'm pretty sure that is GT105 as well. I think it was restored back to prototype configuration by Gelscoe. I rode in GT105 in 1994 when it was in the U.S.
