DRB origin, question for Peter

Hey,

I have been told that the DRB molds were pulled from a real car (not another replica)and have been massaged to perfection.

Peter...can I ask what the serial number is?

Just curious as to who the father is.

Top of my list-DRB.

Cheers,
Bill Cook

Hi Bill

The DRB GT40 Mk 1 Replica body moulds were taken off a wooden Plug. The Plug was shaped and refined from drawings and photos of 1075.

Production of the Plug and the large number of other moulds required to produce bodies took over two man years of work.

The DRB GT40 is available with wide rear bodywork or super wide, as used on 1075 at LeMans in 1969, allowing 12" wide rear wheels to be used.

Best regards
