Hi Peter & Tim this is starting to develop into a Monty Python sketch, love it, sorry to hijack thread Chris.I do remember the frosts which froze the water in the puddles. We would break the Ice as we walked to school. We did have shoes though Peter.

LUXURY! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif You are right Ross, I did freeze in Melbourne, but remember it was mid summer and we Queenslanders were dressed for summer and did not expect a howling gale to blow up from Antarctica and freeze our nuts off! A quite normal event according to you Melbournites.
When it rains in Queensland the rain is warm, like liquid gold. Which is why you Southerners keep migrating up here.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gifAs far as wintering in Nue Zeelund goes, not unless I'm in a Ski Lodge in front of a log fire with a hot rum in my hand /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Ross who is that young bloke sitting in your car? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

There's One in the north island and One in the south island and another couple on the way.

"Heve'nt heard frum the "All Blecks" for a while?"

We'll let you know how they do after they meet the Lions on Saturday...

You should try the sheepskin steering wheel cover Flatchat - the lanolin makes the hands really soft (the ladies love that).

Aw, jeez Pete, if we had the chilli bun (or should that be cheely been) on the passenger seat there wouldn't be room for the huntaway... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: DRB GT40s in New Zealand?

Oh no! what have I started /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
A huntaway is a Border Collie (kiwi sheep dog) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The aussie sheep dog is called a "round 'em up" (Kelpie X or a Blue heeler)---I think the heeler is more of a cattle dog though.
If you'd been paying attention to the national sheep dog trials(on TV)in NZ --you'd know Pete /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

National sheep dog trials /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif Aw well I suppose it would be better than watching Big Brother /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: DRB GT40s in New Zealand?

Given the blizzard of rubbish (Oprah, CSI, etc) polluting our television, I'd take sheep dog trials or even bass fishing any day, and I don't farm or fish...
I quite like New Zealand: it stands up to bullying and takes some heat off Tasmania. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh yeah, er I don't know how many DRBs there are in NZ.

Tim.

If that is you Ross, it must be a very very old photo /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
"Handsome" I'm not sure, "Beast" certainly. As for Pete's bar, I reckon one look at the bar staff would have taken the wrinkles out of everything including your forehead. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now that Warney has stopped making phone calls and Simmonds has sobered up, we won last night /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
