I had a Scat stroker kit in my 351W, to 383 CID. with 1.75" custom 4-2-1 (similar to Tri-Y) headers, AFR 225 heads, and a nice cam, that was a monster (315 tires were almost usless at full throttle in every gear but 4th and 5th. Had a decent rod length/stroke ratio which was the main appeal as compared with the 302 strokers.

What hp and torque is your motor producing? Do you have to drive gently or can you hit the power hard with your setup?

469 HP AND 451 TORQUE. THE ADDITIONAL POWER WAS ATTAINED BY HAVING THE HEADS PORT MATCHED. GO BACK TO PAGE 1 AND CLICK ON THE LINK I POSTED.
I GO TO WIDE OPEN THROTTLE ANY TIME I WANT. THE END RESULT IS THAT THE TIRES SPIN I HAVE HAD THE TIRES LOOSE AT 100MPH (AVONS). THE CAR IS VERY MILD TO DRIVE IF YOU KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF IT . I HAVE GOTTEN 20MPG ON THE HIGHWAY . THE LAST 3 GEARS ARE OVERDRIVE. I AM VERY PLEASED

I've just ordered a Holinger MFT as it's one of the few transaxles available that'll handle the torque from my engine. It's rated at 700Nm for 24hr race applications, and is the same trans used in the Brabham BT62 and the S5000 race cars. Not cheap, but on par with the Hewlands.

Oh, and they're made just up the road from me!
