Hi

Someone has confuse me with Shelby and Ford

To my understanding a Ford GT Shelby 500 is a 'ford'. Now I get told its not a ford but a shelby, like Henesy etc.

And GT40s werent fords but were later baught out by Ford so the racing legend isnt really ford but something they took over.

FORD?
SHELBY?

EXPLAIN?

The GT500 is built totally by Ford, never sees the Shelby facility and is titled and registered as a "Ford". That said, it is a "Shelby" by model name and the royalty paid to Shelby.

Confused? So long as it the MSO/COO/MCO or whatever you want to call the origin paperwork that is the car's "birth certificate" says "Ford" it is a Ford. The 1965-1970 models were MSO'd as "Shelby" and titled as such.

At least the new GT500s have some connection to Shelby...what I don't understand are the new "Elennor" cars and other such units that are licensed by Shelby but have no real connection whatsover and replicate cars that never existed in the 60s?!?!?
