Hockenheimring in trouble.
The Ring Management have declared they are in deep financial trouble and have taken a few unusual steps to ensure their survival. The new Mercedes grandstand has been sold off and the Ring rent it back for the F1 races. The town of Hockenheim have also stumped up €22m making them a 51% share of the circuit and the holder and the 'Badischen Motorclub' (BMC) have the other 49%. There is genuine concern that the F1 race cannot be staged there.
