Finally got it.

Well at last I've picked up my Tornado today ,the wait is over - let the panelling begin. I've spent the last few hours finding places to store all the bits.

Hi Paul,

Was that you I saw you today, turning off the M25 around 5 o'clock? I was just thinking to myself that I cannot wait until I pick mine up & then a GT40 comes rolling past me down the slip road, spooky.

Well congratulations, know the real work starts, will you be going to the next nexting?

Chris.

Yes that was me with the GT bouncing about on a trailer - I don't wan't to have to do that again ,thought the wind was going to take it !!!!!
I should be at the next meeting in cobham - have you picked yours up yet ???

No! I still have not pick mine up yet, having a bit of a nightmare, the buyer that was lined up to take my TVR away this weekend has pulled out after messing me around for the last 8 weeks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif.

But on a good point I have re-advertised it and I have got several people coming around this weekend to look at it, I cannot pick the kit up until I have room for it or her indoors will kill me, this is very frustrating, but several of the buyers are cash so it's looking good, so maybe in a couple of weeks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Congratulations Paul /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Have you sat in it and gone brumm, brumm yet?
The first step on a hopefully not too tall ladder. No doubt you will be armed with questions at each Cobham meeting from now on.

Brian.

Damn - missed the brmm brmm bit - did try to sit in it and the misses took a snap (looks alot bigger than in the pictures and is the roof supposed to be so low ??? she said) I've used the photo as my profile pic. Thiink I'll pop out to the garage and have another sit in it !!!!!

Paul...

Would love some pics of the chassis and begining stages once you get it all bare and the bits and pieces stored away.

I don't think I've seen any good pics of a Tornado in the build up stages. I've seen several completed pictures of a few and am curious how they compare to the others out there.

Good luck on the build and most importantly have fun!

Devin

Paul, One of the best moments is when you get it on the garage floor with tires on it and "she" gets a real look at how tall 40 inches is. Mine said "is it going to always be that low?

Let the fun begin!

Hi Chris, mine was due in December !!! It was actually ready at the end of february but took 4 weeks for the chassis to be powder-coated. So I would have thought add 12 weeks to what your deposit reciept says (+ 4 weeks for powder-coating.)
