Briatore has been a man of poor ethics at best, or outright fraud most of the rest of the time, right from day one. He should be sitting in a prison somewhere instead of parading around with a woman less than half his age. His "lifestyle" has always been financed via fraud and theft and tax evasion.
He's so ridiculous he's like a cartoon character. How is that s-bags like that are allowed into polite society???
That's a rhetorical question...they are allowed into polite society because they're gregarious, charming, seemingly generous, seemingly wealthy, and generally very personable.....but that doesn't change the basic fact that they're still a s-bag.

I think he should be fined for calling that ugly thing a yacht. his wife certainly has better lines than the boat.

I used to work for John Barnard, who was brought into Benetton from Ferrari by Flavio. Some of the stories i've been told are unblievable about how Flavio condcted business.
Apparently he used to deal with sponsors/finaciers etc directly. I would worry about going too far with repeating the story but by all accounts money went into the teams accounts after a few trips through other "holding accounts" shall we say.
He was quick to sack the pervert Benetton Chief Designer, with a foot fetish, who is now back at the head of one of the grids newer teams after a few years in the wilderness. I heard that story on the pitwall in Spain in a discussion that included Alex Wurtz. Apparently said designer was secretly bringing in the team secretaries to have their feet measured for a secret new technological break through he was working on! When one thought it a bit strange and uncomfortable about the amount of foot handling they complained and he had to go.
This guy was recently commented on by the F1 coverage as a designer of many championship winning cars. The BBC have a very different recollection of his history to mine.
Back to Flavio, what a slippery Italian crook. Banned for life from the sport and soon to be let back in. How he has the front to even want to return is beyond me.

I don't know how good a race team owner he is ( you'd have to assume that someone who instructs a driver to crash the car has seriously wanting principles) but the "yacht" is as ugly as a mud fence. The wife is better looking. About a dead heat with Chris Evans' better half, but Chris isn't in the running for international criminal of the week, either.

Yes, I should hold my tongue Pete. I just get tired of dirt bags parading around like silly peacocks, then denying or apologizing when they get caught showing their true colors.
Ultimately, we all pay for such people's extravagent lifestyle, either through having to pay more taxes to make up for what they don't pay, or paying higher products prices or insurance rates to cover their fraud, or paying to track them and then incarcerate them when they finally do get caught.
Does Flavio really think his wife is with him for any other reason than his (apparent) wealth? If you were 61, wouldn't you feel like a total idiot (and pervert) in bed with a 28 year old??

No, I wouldn't. I'd thank God an ugly old man like me had made enough money to attract that level of gold digger. The difference between me and Flavio is that I KNOW I'm an old man; I think he probably believes she married him for his looks and sparkling personality. Very rich guys sometimes have really insane egos, maybe because they surround themselves with people who suck up to them.
On the other hand, I've met some very wealthy people who had no such delusions at all and are great folks- quite down to earth. But they aren't married to eye candy. If you do that, and you take yourself seriously, you're making a BIG mistake.
