GM to Koso pull up resistor

Running a ls376 and koso dash. What type of pull up resistor should I be buying? Is there any particular info specific to these two systems or are pull up resistors ?

Jay, try a 5000 ohm (5k) 1/4 watt resistor. Wiring diagram is for LS376/480.
Connect between the keyed power circuit, & the tach circuit. I would find the 2 wires in the harness, strip back the insulation, without cutting the wire, twist the resistor leads around the wires. Check to see if the tach works, solder & tape.

Just to elaborate on that point, I did what he is suggesting and it works fine. I cut the 12v power wire and soldered the resistor on the end, then I soldered that end to the tach wire. At that solder joint I also attached the tach wire from the dash. Works beautifully. Radio shack sells the resistors. They are just normal resistors. I think I had to use a 4700 ohm and a 300ohm in series but it got me to the same place.

thanks for everyones ongoing help, could not build this car ewithout the help on this forum. ohand did I mention I hate wiring!
