GT vs Lambo

Not that I'm a fan of the show but I tend to watch anything of interest relative to cars = Did anyone see the trouncing the 'Joy Ride' Ford GT gave the Lambo on that Battle of the Supercars show?....the Lambo even blew it's guts out before it was all over.

The GT was stout.

Now a word about the format of short attention span programing....why do shows INSIST on repeating EVERY frikken thing that happened up to that time after a commercial break - every frikken break... that is sooooo incredibly CHEAP. What like they couldn't think of anything worthy to fill the space with or is the target market supposed to be that inattentive and stupid?

Yeah, that was a good show - saw it a couple days ago.

As they hinted in the show, I suspect the GT was getting a lot more boost than stock - probably a much smaller pully on the blower and some high flow injectors and some re-mapping of the ecu. Maybe 700+hp and a corresponding bump in tq.

The GT was pretty devastating - loved seeing that. The icing on the cake was when the lambo decided to give up and wet itself on the tarmac.....

I have a friend that brings his '07 lambo to the track. There are so many times that he had to leave early because of one kind of a failure or other. He mentioned that he just now is getting to where he relly likes the car. Of course, my GT40 has failed too many times too.

My buddy has an 06 Gallardo and after seeing that carbon fiber one blow its engine for no reason on the show, it doesn't really instill confidence in bringing it out to the track. I have been under the impression that the car is as reliable as a VW, i wonder why the one on the show blew.

They repeat the same stuff after every commercial segment because its a method of stretching out content when they don't have enough to fill the entire 30min segment. My guess is because the lambo let loose, they had to put a lot of filler in.

I enjoyed the fact that the Lambo let go when it was already behind...

I dont think the GT owners were being particularly honest when they said it had 600hp...looked pretty "healthy" .

Both cars looked tough as nails in black though...very cool.
