GT40 roadster

I thought maybe the parts taken off of the converted cars are being used on some of the "NEW" ones as the windshields must be very rare. My most interesting GT40 sighting was seeing the spyder in the picture driving around the streets of Kirkland Wa back in 2010. There were Mk I, II, III, and 4's at GT40 show being held there. Only the second real 40 I've seen on the street. I saw a silver 40 on the streets of Covina Ca back in the late 60's.

Gt/108. Was with the McCaw collection here in Seattle. Believe it’s with the Miller collection now.

The size of the anti-roll bar, it's miniscule! Coupled with the long lever arm, it wasn't doing much 'anti!' How times have changed.

Anybody know if the Indy engine took a standard 5 or 6 bolt small block Ford bellhousing? Sorry for thread drift.

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum,

im looking to get some more information on a car, Is there anyone in the us that can authenticate a car? I will be calling Allen Grant soon to double check a few things with him and ask him a ton of questions along with two more people in the uk from who parts were purchased from. To be transparent I have a client that claims to have an original gt40 roadster prototype, I have seen the car in person and through the restoration process. I have done my own research and it does make sense and I will be tracking down people to try and make a full story, I don't want to publish a chassis number yet until I have more information. Mostly as of now im just looking for people I can contact directly. My client did speak to someone at ford racing or ford motorsport but cant seem to remember his name. i will be updating this thread along the way and with anything this old there is some interesting information.

Pls DM me with pics of the area around the B pillars under the fibreglass hoop , and pics of the B pillars themselves as that will tell us a lot . And any pics of the chassis stripped . I can give you my contact details. A few people here know me. Are you in CA?

Yeah thanks Brian. I rarely go on it myself nowadays to be honest. A friend of mine sent me the link to the roadster post so I thought I’d reply and ask for more information on it.
