From those images and with little knowledge of the project, it looks like he has also abandoned any attempt to create the glass birdcage roof which is a true shame, plus the wheels look terrible. Anything but the original's won't suit it at all, and unfortunately we are probably talking ten's of thousands of dollars to get them custom made (good estimate?).
Starting to really get into this car again as you all know my old website has been down for a long time and I have moved on a lot in my life from a obsessive little 15/16 year old kid to a 20 year old with a kid and university studies. Time isn't what it used to be to sit and wonder over this car but that footage Joe posted up took me way back to when I would just sit and imagine being in that thing...gorgeous machine.
I recently tried to contact Michael, the guy offering to sell the GT90 tyres and he said he no longer has any access to the car since it was shown at the Goodwood show in England.
After there it was up for auction at RM but there is no information about that ever selling or who it sold to etc...
I have a vague memory of reading a guy on a valeting/detailing forum talking about how he had to detail the GT90 for the Goodwood show but really it could be years before we see the car again and find out any more information on what ever went on with it.
in the meantime enjoy a bit of history with my web gallery:
