Headlamp Switch

What are people using for a headla,p switch? I want my car to look like an original. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Switches

Most GT40's had Lucas (The prince of darkness) paddle handle toggle switches.
They are "funky" IMHO and very pricy. It's like a car door when you shut it, they just don't "feel" right.

This is the only place I've found them in the states. Lynn says these are copies but I'm not sure, they have the Lucas packaging.

I ordered about six of them and they were all different, some had round nuts, some had hex nuts and one had a way longer handle. Waited too long to return them, just going to sell them when I get around to it.

Here's some nice paddle handle toggle switches that look and feel really nice. They don't look "exactly" like a Lucas but they are higher quality and way less expensive. They call the paddle handle a "duckbill".

You need a single DPDT switch for the headlights/running lights which control a headlight relay which is tied into the high beam relay.

The only place you run into trouble with the generic switches is with the wiper if you want it to park, you need 2 switches. The Lucas version does it with one.
