Yes, I remember it well. I wonder what happened to it? Found this pic that I took down at Mirage back in 2009. It was in a unit in Ballymena Drive in Poole and was directly opposite the unit where GTD used to be based. You can see the said chassis on the wall behind one of Ray's GT40 chassis. Chris and John have now got their 908s finished. Not my cup of tea either. The Ferrari 312p is one of my favourites for looks and V12 sound.
Cheers
Mike

That's my GT40 chassis Mike, I tried without luck sourcing a Ferrari v12 engine in the late 90's as a P4 was my first choice for a build but Yoda saved me from the dark side, love to see a build log Jimmy.

I’m just curious… Springs a bit redundant, given the bolt-together flanges? Your work on these GTs is amazing!

Thank you Randy.
The flange / tab holes are slotted for slip and expansion and the megaphones are not fixed on the gearbox shoe but fastened with stiff springs. So the back end is slightly flexible.
We also considered that the Silentblock anti-vibration dampers on the engine and the transaxle introduce movement through to the exhaust so the joints need to flex.
Our theory anyway.
