Joe’s AP MK1 Gt40 build

Congratulations! Gotta be music to your ears after 2 frustrating weeks. Looking forward to the first test drive!!!! What starter did you end up finding that worked?

I got conversion adapters and axles from Chris (c5 axles) and converted them myself. Very simple and while apart had shafts re powder coated.

I have the goodies, but no transaxle yet to check. If too long, Dutchman can cut and respline for a vary fair price. A friend did that on a Cobra using Explorer pumpkin, hubs and axles.

If too short, a spacer between stub and CV is easy to machine.

Took a break from build so i can get caught up with other things around house so Been awhile on updates. Now that im back at it, here we go again lol. Started making exhaust, now that its complete i can weld everything and add tabs on collectors and tubes. I also made a rear bracket so my plate sits inside center of rear where it belongs.

Seats all mounted, working on seatbelts now. Windshield is a perfect fit. Readjusted other panels to align with spider since I moved it. Without any gap sanding yet everything looks good for start. Mounted wiper motor (what a PITA lol) car is now 100% wired and 100% mechanically complete minus shifter adjustments if need once do first drive on block.
