Sorry to be a bit thick guys - Does MDA still manufacture GT40 Replicas?
I don't seem to see much on the site about them and i've spotted a part built for sale...are they any good etc etc...

MDA went under about 1 year ago. There were some of their spare parts turning up on e-bay, but I dont know if thats still happening. It was discussed at some length on here, try a search.

from what I understood at the time they were very highly thought of and the quality of their kits was very good.

Hi Graham,
I don't know where you are in the U.K but I have an MDA and you are welcome to take a look if you want to. I'm down South.
Is the one you are being offered a Mk1 or Mk2 chassis ? I have the Mk2 chassis which was the later, more developed design.
I am very pleased with the product.

Don't worry about buying an MDA its a great product. Mick Sollis at SouthernGT is currently helping out a number of Mark's old customers with bits and bobs if you needed any parts. Mark's stuff was good. I understand a question arose over the rear end on his early chassis which was soon fixed (I will stand corrected on this point if I am wrong) If its a good deal go for it.
