Need advice on repairing headers

I have a set of 180 degree exhaust headers that are 35 years old and have developed pinholes through the chrome plating. I was planning to have the plating striped, the holes brazed, and then get the pipes ceramic coated. Does anyone know if the ceramic coating alone will close the pin holes, or do I need to go ahead and have them sealed beforehand, and if so, will brazing be compatable with the coating process or should they be welded?
Thanks
John

John,

I have only dealt with Jet-Hot, but they media blast parts prior to ceramic coating. I would suspect that others do as well, so your pin holes are liable to enlarge with this. I suspect that brazing or welding will be required first, but I will leave the recommendation of which to use to others with more experience in this area.

John ,
I'd be glad to help with your headers, just need to see how big the pin holes are and how many. I am in the Clearlake area and use a guy near me that does all types of coatings "Wolfe's blasting & painting"
