Hi Im a new GT40 aspirant from the Philippines.

I have restored and built many cars over the years but these days I have a GT40 in my sights.

Im very impressed with the RCR Kit and Im considering the ford modular DOHC 32V engine...Trans im not so sure yet, I have been reading the transaxle threads
I have the advantage here of cheap machine work so may be able to modify the weak parts of a lesser transaxle...Renault for example.
Im researching first before deciding on a particular set up.

Open to any suggestions thanks Jonathan

Welcome to GT40s Jonathan...

The RCR40 can be used with a number of different Transaxles. I'm not sure if the Renault is one of them. Best get together with Fran Hall on that score.. There are various things that need to be kept in mind in using the different transaxles such as Header Design, Engine mounting elevation, upper crossmember (for the rear horseshoe) and others..

I'm certain that the engine bay of the RCR is as versatile as you'll find as it has been called home to many different manufacturer's engines..
