New transaxle from 6XD

Pretty understandable actually, Lee…

I’m going to dig around/ask around about these newer ( and longer) transaxles and
see if I can’t get some more information and possibly pictures of how the chassis gets
modded to accommodate the length…

Let me know when they have sold 500 of them.
Ive looked into the 6XD Gearbox group, and they have over 500 units sold worldwide, turns out they have the strongest sequential on the market, handles like 1800ftlbs! So far Ive seen them in TransAm racing series, and Time attack, the FL2K big power builds seem to have a fair amount of them also, and those guys/builds are pushing over 3000whp, Im excited to see what other places these unit are being used...

^^ Same here!
I wrote inquiring about the Overall Length and also a ballpark Cost…
So far, no response……..
I have rec'd info form them when emailing thru their website! they were actually very informative, they said the MTX was made just for the Superformance GT40 builds! So they do fit in GT40s based on a call I made to Vs performance in Cali, they build many of the Superformance GT40 builds, they said needs some minor mods in the rear bumper area, but they do fit, and they have a quick change rear built into them holly hell thats awesome!

Finally got an email reply back from the 6XD Transaxle folks ( Let’s call it the 6XD-MTX) .
(asked about the length and ballpark cost estimate)

Regarding the 6XD-MTX Length:

“It was made for the GT40 market, fits the GT40 Superformance and other
GT40 market builds and the Original GT40!”

6XD-MTX Cost:

“ $31k for the first 25 client orders / then market pricing will be $36k”

So…another (pricey) option but much better than no options at all !
Yes and they confirmed they handle 2000ftlbs for the BIG BOY builds, and amazingly these units have a quick change inside the back cover!!! So for track days this would be amaaazing

Its REAL, I even have the Cad drawing for the dims on this unit for the GT40 install kit! ITs pretty sick! So I found some peeps that are installing it in Superformance GT40 builds, and it does in deed fit! Sooo glad the MTX sequential is the real deal... Oh and it has a quick change rear designed into this unit, so Hwy to track days are now going to be AMAAAZING.

Are there any pics of an MTX in a Superformance or other brand?
As we all know around here, w/o pics it's not true

I agree, so I asked for pics from the superformance build shop of the 6xdMTX being mocked up in the latest chassis, they sent me these pics, they did say that the lower rear trans mounting bar needed to me moved back a few inches and the lower rear body panel between the vents needed to be flattened or slightly modified also to clear the 6XD-MTX, but the owner didnt car because he had big whp (1000+) and needed the 6XD-MTX for reliability to handle the power (rated at 2000Ftlbs), and wanted the quick change aspect of the MTX has for hwy and then track days regarding being able to change final drive in minutes. I have to agree, Id totally be willing to make those two little changes to be able to run big power and have the quick change final drive change aspect ! Hope this all helps you and others here in the GT40 world... I should have more pics soon as there is a GT40 RCR (i think or superformance) shop in NC I talk to that is installing a 6XD-MTX around July or Aug...
