One more SLC bites the dust.

Looks like one more of Allan's work has bit the dust.

Looks like it was this one

Not that I'm sure I understand the 'cash value'notation, but that number taken at face value has this car woefully under-insured.

I tried to register with that auction. They seem difficult to deal with. Maybe I can speak to someone there tomorrow.

They want $200 fee to register. There website won't disclose buyer/auction fees until you pay the $200. They have no info on the title status.

Anyone used them before?

It is no longer available for sale so don't spend any money registering.

One would think the outfit could have (should have) informed Ian the car was no longer for sale when he called.
'Can't help but wonder if they'd have taken his $200 and THEN told him.
(I'm always the cynic.)

'Darned shame that car was wrecked.
It was sweet.

I had not called yet. I was trying the online registration.

It irritated me that they took a bunch of personal information before they disclosed their registration fee. I then had to pay the registration fee to find out the aqctual auction/purchase fees. It all seems like a scam.

EXACTLY my thought when I read your O.P. ...

So $71k was the insured value? Any idea hw much it sold for? Lots of good parts if the rear and interior are intact. If the frame can be salvaged or repaired someone could get a great deal.
