Turns out I was mistaken - the standard setup is stationary, tilty is extra.
So I guess I retrofitted a nifty new concept without messing it up and having to order another 2 or 3 pairs of stantions to try again - awesome, my build skills are improving
Don't worry, I still manage to break my fair share of stuff.....building just wouldn't be the same unless there was a heap of broken parts from over-torquing beside the car
I don't know how some of you guys manage to build, and work, and have families, and have lives. I got the dual struts working yesterday, but then discovered I suck at geometry because it was tilting the clip funny, then they were sitting in 2 different planes, etc... etc... (just a whole boat load of problems, 1 strut was sooo much easier, haha). So yesterday it's 11am to 3am working on the silly second strut, then today it's 3am to 8pm and it all finally works perfectly.
OK Mr Tilty, what's next to be conquered? It's amazing how a simple, low tech little side task can take hours and hours and cause multiple approaches to be tried before it's resolved.
